Iroquois Memorial Hospital Names Michael Tilstra as new CEO

The Iroquois Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Tilstra as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Iroquois Memorial Hospital. After extensive consideration, the board is confident that Mr. Tilstra will unequivocally bring positive leadership to the organization. We are confident that he will put the well-being of Iroquois County first and gain the trust of our community. He understands the vital role IMH plays in the county and knows how this organization impacts the quality of life in our area.

Tilstra was born at Iroquois Memorial Hospital and is a pivotal member of the community residing in Onarga, IL. Earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Western Illinois University and later a Master in Business administration from Olivet Nazarene University, he decided to stay and work locally. Tilstra exudes substantial experience in local, state, and federal affairs. With over twenty-five years of business administration, he proudly served at the Nexus- Onarga Academy. He also served as Village president in Onarga for sixteen years, Chamber President-IMHC Chairman/ Building OFPD chair, and Federated Bank Trustee- IDA Board.

The importance of family values and community are ingrained in Tilstra. Married to wife Amy, they have three boys Ryan, Aiden, and Collin. He also finds additional ways to invest in local youth and enjoys coaching IWHS boys and girls golf.
